October 14, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA) and Salesforce are collaborating to launch Retail Cloud Point of Sale (POS) on Android, a solution designed to improve store operations, empower associates, and enhance customer engagement for retailers globally. The announcement was made at Dreamforce 2025.
According to Joe White, Chief Product & Solutions Officer at Zebra Technologies, integrating Zebra’s Android-based solutions with Salesforce’s customer platform enables retailers to better connect with their customers and associates. Nitin Mangtani, Senior Vice President and General Manager at Salesforce Commerce and Retail Cloud, added that the collaboration aims to create seamless, unified shopping experiences.
The Retail Cloud POS addresses challenges such as missed sales, slow training, and inaccurate inventory by integrating Zebra’s Android TC5 and EM45 series mobile computers with Salesforce’s cloud platform. This provides real-time, location-based data for frontline teams, enabling faster and smarter decisions. Sean Ginevan, Head of Global Technology Partnerships at Android Enterprise, Google, noted that the solution benefits from easy deployment and secure management.
The companies plan to co-create further solutions, leveraging Zebra’s expertise in devices, software, and analytics. Zebra’s Elo acquisition broadens its portfolio and supports future innovation in the collaboration. A Zebra study with Oxford Economics reported that retailers saw a 21% improvement in customer satisfaction and up to 1.8 percentage-point increases in revenue and profitability through improved inventory management.
