New York — March 2, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Wix.com Ltd. (NASDAQ: WIX) has launched the Wix app in ChatGPT, a collaboration with OpenAI, enabling users to create Wix Harmony websites directly within ChatGPT conversations.
The app, built using OpenAI’s Apps SDK and powered by Wix’s Model Context Protocol (MCP), allows anyone to create a professional-grade Wix Harmony website through the ChatGPT interface.
Users can describe their desired website via text or voice within ChatGPT, and a fully functional Wix Harmony website is generated. Users can then add business capabilities, analyze performance, and implement changes through conversation. Existing Wix users can also connect and manage their businesses within ChatGPT.
Shahar Talmi, GM of Developer Platform at Wix, said that adding the app to ChatGPT makes it easier for anyone to start, run, and grow their online presence in the environments they already use.
Sanj Bhayro, Managing Director EMEA Sales at OpenAI, said Wix is a great example of the kind of real-world value apps can bring into ChatGPT, helping users go from an idea to a live online presence.
To begin, users can start a ChatGPT prompt with “@Wix,” which will automatically surface the Wix app within the chat. Websites created through the Wix app run on Wix’s infrastructure, with built-in capabilities for commerce, scheduling, payments, SEO and GEO, accessibility, performance, and security. The website can be accessed through the chat or through their Wix Business Manager.
The Wix app is now available to ChatGPT users in markets where the app directory is supported.
