Tetra Tech (NASDAQ:TTEK) Appoints Roger Argus as CEO; Dan Batrack to Become Executive Chairman

January 6, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Tetra Tech, Inc. has announced the appointment of Roger Argus as Chief Executive Officer, effective February 19, 2026. The announcement was made by Dan Batrack, Chairman, along with the company’s independent Board of Directors.

Argus’ appointment will coincide with Tetra Tech’s annual meeting of shareholders. He is also expected to join Tetra Tech’s Board of Directors at that time. Batrack, the current Chairman and CEO, will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.

This leadership change is the result of the Board’s long-term succession planning process, which aims to ensure continuity of strategy, culture, and performance, according to the company.

Argus has been with Tetra Tech for over 30 years, most recently as President. During his tenure, he has been involved in shaping the company’s strategic direction, guiding operational excellence, and leading major water, infrastructure, environmental, and emergency management programs for public- and private-sector clients. Argus has also played a role in expanding Tetra Tech’s global presence and strengthening its technical capabilities through the integration of several strategic acquisitions, according to the company.

Batrack has served as CEO for more than 20 years and as Chairman of the Board since 2008. During his leadership, Tetra Tech has grown into a global leader with more than 25,000 employees and approximately $5 billion in annual revenue. The company says that under Batrack’s leadership, Tetra Tech advanced its Leading with Science® approach, expanded internationally, and delivered consistently strong financial and operational results.

Batrack will serve as Executive Chairman for a minimum of two years. He will continue to be engaged in the company’s long-term strategy and ensure a smooth transition, while Argus will assume leadership as the incoming CEO.

Kirsten M. Volpi, Lead Independent Director, said that the decision to appoint Argus reflects the Board’s succession planning process and confidence in his ability to lead Tetra Tech. She noted his leadership, technical expertise, and strategic insight. Volpi also acknowledged Batrack’s vision and stewardship in transforming Tetra Tech and expressed pleasure that he will continue to provide insight as Executive Chairman. She said the transition positions the company for sustainable growth and long-term value.

Argus said he is honored to serve as Tetra Tech’s next CEO. He acknowledged Batrack’s role in building the organization and expressed his commitment to advancing the company’s Leading with Science® differentiation, deepening global capabilities, and delivering solutions for clients and communities.

Batrack said that serving as CEO and Chairman during a period of growth and transformation for Tetra Tech has been a privilege. He said he has worked with Argus for 30 years and believes he is prepared to guide the company into the future.

Tetra Tech is the leader in water, environment and sustainable infrastructure, providing high-end consulting and engineering services for projects worldwide. With more than 25,000 employees working together, Tetra Tech provides clear solutions to complex problems by Leading with Science® to address the entire water cycle, protect and restore the environment, and design sustainable and resilient infrastructure.
