NEW YORK, NY — October 14, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Teladoc Health (NYSE: TDOC) has launched a new offering to address workplace violence in hospitals and health systems. The innovation is part of Teladoc Health’s Clarity™ monitoring solution, which uses AI-enabled software, hardware, and services to help care teams monitor settings and direct resources. The solution now includes virtual workplace safety intervention, in addition to virtual sitting.
Workplace violence is an increasing problem for hospitals, with a recent survey indicating that more than 80% of nurses have experienced it and nearly half reporting an increase in recent years. Data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics show healthcare workers are five times more likely to face workplace violence compared to other industries, costing hospitals over $18 billion annually, according to the American Hospital Association.
The new capability analyzes video and audio for facial expressions, threatening gestures, and aggressive language. It provides notifications to care teams and staff for early intervention, identifying safety risks like aggressive encroachment or tampering with equipment.
Andy Puterbaugh, President, Hospital and Health Systems at Teladoc Health, stated that their new workforce safety capability transforms insights into action using AI to improve safety in the care setting.
The solution will be implemented with selected hospitals and health systems in Q1 2026 as part of Teladoc Health’s partner development program.
