SuperQ Quantum Welcomes Renae Barlow as VP and Secures Grant Funding for Talent

October 6, 2025 — Leads & Copy — SuperQ Quantum Computing Inc. has appointed Renae Barlow as Vice President, Global Ecosystems. Ms. Barlow will spearhead the expansion of SuperQ’s quantum Super™ Network globally, cultivate relationships with government entities and funding bodies, and manage strategic partnerships.

SuperQ will also bolster its team by hiring talent from Canadian universities, supported by funding from Innovative Work-Integrated Learning Initiatives (“I-WIL”) and DIGITAL Innovation Supercluster (“DIGITAL”), channelled through the AKITO & Riipen program.

Ms. Barlow brings over 30 years of experience in tech ecosystem building and economic development, having led organizations like Economic Development Lethbridge (EDL) and the Women Entrepreneurs in STEM program. At EDL, she launched the world’s first Quantum Super Hub at Tecconnect.

Dr. Muhammad Khan, CEO of SuperQ Quantum, expressed excitement about Ms. Barlow’s addition and the federal funding support for research engagements with students.

The AKITO-Riipen workforce development program will provide funding to SuperQ to hire post-secondary students for R&D projects, accelerating project delivery and fostering the next generation of talent in Canada’s quantum ecosystem.
