October 2, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Snowflake (NYSE: SNOW) has launched Snowflake Cortex AI for Financial Services, a suite of AI capabilities and partnerships designed to help financial services companies unify data and securely deploy AI models, apps, and agents. The offering includes a managed Model Context Protocol (MCP) Server, now in public preview, which allows organizations to use their own and third-party data from sources like FactSet, MSCI, and Nasdaq eVestment® to build AI agents and apps.
Baris Gultekin, VP of AI at Snowflake, noted that the financial services industry faces challenges related to fragmented data and compliance. Cortex AI for Financial Services aims to accelerate tasks such as market analysis, fraud detection, and customer support. It also offers integration with financial data providers like CB Insights and FactSet.
The Cortex AI suite includes features like Snowflake Data Science Agent for automating data preparation, Cortex AISQL for processing unstructured data, and Snowflake Intelligence for business users to gain insights using natural language. The MCP Server facilitates interoperability across industries, connecting Cortex Analyst and Cortex Search to external AI agents.
Jonathan Pelosi, Head of Industry, Financial Services, Anthropic, noted that the partnership with Snowflake helps connect governed data directly to Claude, while João Moura, Co-Founder and CEO, CrewAI, noted that Snowflake’s managed MCP Server provides a secure pipeline for agent crews to access data.
Ian Macomber, Head of Analytics, Ramp, said that with Snowflake Cortex AI, Ramp can securely tap into and analyze unstructured customer data. Gary Lerhaupt, VP, Product Architecture, Agentforce at Salesforce, said that customers will be able to discover and connect to Snowflake’s MCP server directly within Salesforce AgentExchange, accelerating the development and deployment of AI agents.
