November 5, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Snap Inc. (NYSE: SNAP) and Perplexity have partnered to integrate Perplexity’s AI answer engine into Snapchat, allowing Snapchat’s community to ask questions, explore topics, and learn about the world. Starting in early 2026, Perplexity will be integrated into Snapchat’s Chat interface globally. Through the integration, Snapchatters can ask questions and receive conversational answers from verifiable sources within Snapchat. Perplexity will pay Snap $400 million over one year through a combination of cash and equity, as Snap achieves global rollout.
Aravind Srinivas, CEO of Perplexity, stated that Perplexity’s mission is to support the world’s curiosity. Evan Spiegel, CEO of Snap Inc., said the partnership reflects their shared vision for AI to enhance discovery and connection on Snapchat.
The integration marks the first step in Snap’s effort to make Snapchat a platform where AI companies can connect with its global community. Snapchatters can chat with the existing My AI chatbot, while Perplexity can help them find answers from credible sources and explore new topics within the app. Snap and Perplexity aim to make conversational AI an even more seamless part of how people discover and learn on Snapchat.
