Safe Pro Group (NASDAQ:SPAI) Files Patent for AI Threat Detection Tech

(Nasdaq: SPAI) has filed a patent application for its AI-powered computer vision tech, which will be used for the rapid and autonomous detection of small explosive threats in drone-based video and imagery. The new algorithm enhances the detection precision and accuracy of AI when used to detect small objects in imagery captured by drones.

The company will showcase its enhanced capabilities during multiple upcoming events with the U.S. Army, including the 2026 Concept Focused Warfighter Experiment (CFWE), Live Breach event, and the CFWE Maneuver (CFWE-M) technology demonstration.

Safe Pro’s IP portfolio currently includes US Patent No. 12,146,729 covering autonomous detection, identification, and labeling of explosives in orthomosaic images using AI processing of drone imagery. The patent is valid until 2043 and covers 47 jurisdictions.

The company’s SPOTD technology can scale globally, offering solutions for rapid battlefield analysis and supporting commercial and humanitarian demining operations.

Safe Pro’s unique real-world datasets include high-resolution drone imagery and GPS-tagged geospatial data encompassing over 2.2 million drone images analyzed to date, and 41,400+ threats identified across 11,400 hectares (over 28,000 acres).
