SEOUL, South Korea — November 26, 2025 — Leads & Copy — RLWRLD, a robotics AI company, has formed a strategic alliance with Microsoft to advance the research, development, and commercialization of industrial robotics AI technologies.
The partnership will involve RLWRLD collaborating with Microsoft on cloud infrastructure using Microsoft Azure, research engagement with Microsoft Research (MSR), and joint go-to-market efforts in Asia.
RLWRLD has developed a robotics foundation model (RFM) trained on high-precision 4D+ multimodal data collected from manufacturing environments in Korea, Japan, and the United States. The model, designed to support various robotic hardware platforms, will be scaled using Azure’s GPU/CPU clusters, security features, APIs, and cloud storage.
The collaboration aims to accelerate reinforcement learning, imitation learning, and Vision-Language-Action (VLA) model training. The companies are also considering deeper collaboration with MSR on latent-action modeling, which incorporates historical task context, and industrial-grade vision-language models for factory settings.
RLWRLD and Microsoft will pursue proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, co-marketing activities, and technical demonstrations targeting the manufacturing, logistics, retail, and hospitality industries across Asia. The collaboration combines RLWRLD’s industrial datasets and robotics AI capabilities with Microsoft’s global reach and cloud infrastructure.
Jung-hee Ryu, CEO of RLWRLD, stated that the partnership with Microsoft will provide a foundation to scale their robotics foundation model globally with speed and reliability, aiming to set a benchmark for real-world robotics AI.
Johnny Tian, Vice President of Digital Native Asia Sales at Microsoft, expressed excitement to support RLWRLD’s global expansion through Azure and Microsoft Research, building an ecosystem to empower Asian enterprises with robotics-driven AI.
RLWRLD will continue expanding its PoC and commercialization initiatives across multiple industries, reinforcing its position as an innovator in the physical AI ecosystem.
RLWRLD develops robotics foundation models capable of human-level hand dexterity, trained on high-precision multimodal data from industrial environments. Its multi-sensor capture system enables advanced automation through integrated perception, motion, and control models. The company has received seed funding from manufacturers and VCs in Korea and Japan and is conducting pilot projects with industry partners.
