October 7, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Quantum Corporation (Nasdaq: QMCO) has appointed Geoff Barrall as its Chief Product Officer (CPO). Barrall, an enterprise storage and data management leader, will spearhead Quantum’s product strategy, innovation, and engineering, reinforcing the company’s role in data lifecycle management.
Hugues Meyrath, chief executive officer of Quantum, noted Barrall’s proven track record in founding companies and scaling engineering teams. Barrall’s experience includes serving as CPO at Index Engines and CTO at Hitachi Vantara. He also founded BlueArc Corporation, Drobo, and Connected Data.
Barrall expressed enthusiasm about joining Quantum, citing the company’s ability to deliver high-performance storage, cyber-resilient protection, and long-term archives for the AI data-driven era.
Barrall holds a Ph.D. and B.S. in Cybernetics from the University of Reading, UK.
