Germanium Mining Corp. Commences Remote Sensing Work at Lac Du Km 35 Property

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA — January 9, 2026 — Leads & Copy — GERMANIUM MINING CORP. (CSE: GMC; OTCQB: EMSKF; FSE: 1I30) has initiated remote sensing operations at its Lac Du Km 35 Property, situated in the Chibougamau region of Quebec.

The exploration area is centered around the Faribault Shear Zone (FSZ), which trends east-southeast across the property. The FSZ dips south-southwest and terminates at the Grenville Front.

Government geologists discovered the Laganière germanium showing in 1998. The showing consists of a peridotite outcrop within the Laganière gneissic Complex and returned a value of 0.02% (186 ppm) germanium. These results are considered historical in nature and a qualified person has not verified them.

The Laganière germanium showing is next to the main lumber road, adjacent to a cluster of untested electromagnetic anomalies, and 450 m northeast of the FSZ.

The company will conduct a satellite imagery study using ESA PNEO satellites with 30 cm resolution panchromatic data acquired in September 2023. Algorithms will be applied to pinpoint structural bodies, including intrusions, dykes, and lenticular-shaped elements. The information will be transferred to a GIS system and a series of maps at scale 1:5,000 will be generated. Precise satellite image interpreted structural features will be correlated with existing data for generating targeted areas that will be followed up on the field in the upcoming sampling program in the summer of 2026.

The remote sensing work is expected to be completed by the end of February 2026 and aims to identify potential faults, shear zones, and other structural features associated with germanium mineralization.

Germanium is used in electronics, solar technology, fiber optics, and infrared optics. China, the largest producer of refined germanium, has banned germanium exports to the United States since December 3, 2024. Recent spot prices have germanium over US$5,000 per kilogram.

Benoit Moreau, P.Eng., vice-president of exploration for Germanium Mining Corp., has approved the technical information in the release.

Germanium Mining Corp. is focused on the exploration and advancement of discovery-stage mineral properties in North America and is a member of the Nevada Mining Association.
