Motive has introduced new AI capabilities to its Workforce Management product, designed to assist organizations in managing and empowering their frontline teams. The AI-powered features aim to streamline workforce processes, reduce administrative tasks, and enhance productivity across physical operations.
The new capabilities are intended to provide a centralized platform for tracking and managing workforce processes, including compliance documentation, timecards, and training. The system includes automated record retrieval for each driver, intending to reduce administrative workload and streamline compliance.
According to Motive, more than half of organizations in the physical economy manage workforce processes using spreadsheets, paper files, and disconnected systems. This can lead to missed deadlines for renewing licenses and certifications, incomplete records, and drivers being unable to work until paperwork issues are resolved. Data from the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration indicates that compliance and recordkeeping errors, such as outdated documents in driver files, are common issues during reviews, potentially resulting in Department of Transportation violations.
Hemant Banavar, Chief Product Officer at Motive, stated that the new AI capabilities bring qualifications, compliance, coaching, and workforce data into an integrated platform. The goal is to automate administrative tasks and enable organizations to operate with greater speed, visibility, and efficiency.
Gilbert Solano, Equipment Maintenance and Support Operations Manager at Watco, said that implementing the Drivers Documents module and leveraging the Motive system has allowed the company to provide managers with accurate, real-time information. Solano noted that the automation of processes has saved the team significant time and made it easier to maintain workforce compliance without slowing down operations.
The new AI-powered Workforce Management capabilities include:
Integrated Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs): This feature enables organizations to manage MVR pulls directly in the Motive Dashboard, with records automatically organized, updated, and tracked with expiration alerts.
Driver Walkthrough for Driver Qualification Documents: This ensures drivers are properly qualified by preventing vehicle access or duty status when required documents are missing or expired. It allows organizations to set document requirements, enforce compliance rules, and guide drivers through in-app uploads.
AI-Powered Document Capture: This automates the capture and validation of documents such as licenses, medical cards, and MVRs. AI extracts key details, reduces manual entry, and helps prevent compliance errors.
New Workforce Management Hub: This connects driver profiles and workforce information in one place, offering AI-powered insights to help leaders identify risks, guide coaching, and improve productivity.
Motive Workforce Management is built within Motive’s centralized AI-powered platform to digitize and automate workforce processes. It is designed to eliminate data silos and provide teams with a comprehensive view of their workforce. The platform aims to reduce manual tasks, automate coaching, integrate training, surface risks, streamline compliance, and proactively manage driver qualifications.
