October 7, 2025 — Leads & Copy — MiTAC Computing Technology Corporation and Tonomia have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to formalize their strategic partnership to deliver sustainable AI infrastructure powered by renewable energy. The MOU was signed at the Palace Hotel in San Francisco during the Belgian Economic Mission to the West Coast of the USA, attended by dignitaries, American and Belgian officials, and HRH Princess Astrid.
The agreement combines MiTAC’s GPU server technology with Tonomia’s renewable energy solutions. The companies plan to transform data center operations with clean energy and infrastructure, supporting the next generation of AI with eco-friendly solutions.
Rick Hwang, President of MiTAC Computing Technology, said the partnership demonstrates MiTAC’s commitment to sustainability in data centers. Dr. Mustapha Belhabib, Founder & CEO of Tonomia, added that joining forces with MiTAC will enable customers to deploy GPU-enabled AI clusters on a sustainable foundation.
Tonomia’s approach covers solar carports, on-site battery storage, and distributed AI infrastructure, turning parking lots into clean energy hubs for electric vehicles and AI datacenter workloads. MiTAC Computing and Tonomia aim to provide scalable solutions for eco-friendly compute at the intersection of renewable energy and AI.
