Apple described AI procurement as a digital freight broker available 24/7 within a shipper’s network. Mariner Vibe AI handles bid requests, optimizes carrier choices, and finalizes awards based on shipper-defined rules and preferences, resulting in faster freight coverage, better rates, and reduced workload.
Mariner Vibe AI offers shippers tools to manage spot freight confidently while retaining carrier optionality, allowing engagement with preferred carriers or new alternatives. This combines spot market flexibility with internal process control.
Apple explained that the platform provides reduced reliance on third-party brokers by enabling access to a broad carrier pool and preventing potential issues like bad actors, cost increases, and service failures.
