November 17, 2025 — Leads & Copy — The SANS Institute is launching Season 3 of its Cyber Leaders Podcast, featuring top security leaders discussing how they are adapting to the evolving cybersecurity landscape influenced by AI, quantum computing, and global cybercrime. Hosted by James Lyne and Professor Ciaran Martin, the podcast offers insights on leadership, risk, and resilience in the age of AI disruption.

Season 3 will include weekly audio episodes presenting experience-driven conversations with global experts from the public, private, and research sectors. The podcast will feature leaders such as Heather Barnhart, Paul Chichester, and Curtis Dukes from organizations including Applied Quantum, the Center for Internet Security, IBM, and SANS Institute. The discussions will provide perspectives on technical depth, policy insight, and operational leadership.
Each episode will explore how leaders make tough decisions under pressure, offering insights on prioritizing critical tasks and building resilient cybersecurity programs.
James Lyne, Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer at SANS Institute, emphasized the podcast’s focus on providing context and combining technical depth with leadership perspectives for cybersecurity practitioners. Professor Ciaran Martin, CISO Network EMEA at SANS Institute, added that the podcast aims to help CISOs make informed decisions by showcasing how their peers think, lead, and adapt.
The season will cover topics such as AI’s impact on cybersecurity, cognitive load in cyber teams, the Idaho murders and mobile forensics, the real-world impact of cybercrime, governance in a fragmented internet, and quantum readiness for CISOs.
