HOUSTON and OTTAWA, ON — November 11, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Lapsi Health and eMurmur have partnered to integrate eMurmur’s Heart AI algorithms into Keikku 2.0, Lapsi Health’s FDA-cleared smart stethoscope with an integrated AI scribe. The collaboration aims to improve diagnostic accuracy and clinical efficiency.
The integration combines eMurmur’s FDA-cleared and CE-marked heart murmur detection algorithms, which have demonstrated 90% sensitivity and specificity in detecting abnormal cardiac murmurs, with the Keikku 2.0 multimodal platform. This will enable healthcare providers to perform expert-level cardiac auscultation while simultaneously documenting patient encounters through AI-driven transcription.
Lapsi Health CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Jhonatan Bringas Dimitriades stated that the partnership exemplifies the importance of collaboration in innovation and positions Keikku as a medical companion tool. He said combining Keikku’s hardware and AI scribe with eMurmur’s cardiac analytics would create one of the most capable medical tools available.
eMurmur Founder and CEO Dr. Andreas Schriefl said the integration with Keikku will make the technology essential in various care settings, including primary care, cardiology, hospitals, and telehealth, for both pediatric and adult patients. He believes the partnership will deliver diagnostic precision where it matters most.
Lapsi Health Chief Medical Officer and Co-Founder Dr. Diana van Stijn noted that eMurmur’s algorithms, connected to Keikku, will allow them to deliver the best possible physician-patient consultation and advance what clinicians can accomplish during a single encounter.
The partnership leverages Lapsi Health’s expertise in device design and AI integration and eMurmur’s specialization in auscultation analytics, which has been validated through clinical trials, including studies at Johns Hopkins University. eMurmur’s AI is FDA-cleared, CE-marked, and hardware-agnostic.
The integrated solution will be available to Keikku 2.0 users through a software update without requiring additional hardware. Healthcare providers across various specialties, including primary care, cardiology, pediatrics, and emergency medicine, will gain access to cardiologist-level auscultation insights, enabling earlier detection of structural heart disease and more informed clinical decision-making.
