50C? No Problem: INTLEF’s A.I. Smart Rigs Successfully Complete 60 Wells in Oman’s Nimr Field

September 30, 2025 — Beechinor, AIReporter.news INTLEF’s self-developed “Cobra” smart rigs have completed 60 wells since entering operation in July 2025, in the Nimr field in Oman, one of the Middle East’s most challenging oilfields. The rigs’ performance under extreme conditions, with daytime temperatures often exceeding 50°C, has showcased INTLEF’s capabilities from R&D and manufacturing to delivery and after-sales service and validated the rigs’ reliability.

INTLEF formed dedicated teams in October 2023 for R&D, business development, and financial support to tackle the project’s high standards and innovative requirements. The first three rigs were successfully delivered by January 2025.

A 33-member after-sales service team was mobilized to ensure commissioning. After 106 days of installation and testing, the rigs passed client acceptance and received positive feedback. Key features of the Cobra rigs include one-click automation, the AI-EMS-VFD intelligent integrated energy management system, and 100% green workover.

According to a client representative, the rigs have operated reliably while bringing value through automation and energy efficiency and the team showed collaborative spirit and strong technical expertise.

The successful commissioning in Oman reflects INTLEF’s growing global footprint and ability to adapt to diverse market demands, positioning them to provide integrated drilling solutions that combine technology, safety standards, and after-sales support.

This project highlights INTLEF’s vision to stand as a trusted partner in the global oilfield services sector.
