Gigamon Introduces AI-Powered Insights for Security and IT Operations

September 9, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Gigamon has launched Gigamon Insights, an agentic AI application designed for network telemetry, offering instant guidance for security and IT operations. The application integrates with SIEM and observability platforms from Elastic and Splunk, as well as cloud services from AWS. Gigamon Insights aims to boost IT productivity by accelerating investigations, allowing analysts to ask questions, query metadata, and receive context-rich insights within their existing platforms.

Integrated into the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline, Gigamon Insights supports faster investigations and root-cause analysis, maintaining data privacy through a flexible AI architecture. The agentic interface allows security and IT teams to use pre-defined prompts or craft free-form queries for analyses. At the core is Gigamon Application Metadata Intelligence (AMI), which enriches network telemetry with application-level context.

According to a 2025 Hybrid Cloud Security Survey, 53% of security and IT leaders reported increased attacks targeting their LLM deployments and a rise in AI-driven ransomware campaigns. Sarah Banks, vice president, product management at Gigamon, stated that network-derived telemetry is the best way to understand hybrid cloud infrastructure and that Gigamon Insights uses agentic AI to deliver business and technical answers directly into security, observability, and cloud tools.

Gigamon Insights builds on the Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline, delivering network telemetry directly to cloud, security, and observability platforms. It helps close visibility gaps in SIEM and cloud tools by combining AI with trusted network data, providing context-rich intelligence for analysts to respond faster and more precisely.

Key capabilities of Gigamon Insights include saving analyst time by accelerating investigations, detecting advanced threats, identifying compliance gaps, validating microsegmentation policies, maintaining continuous visibility across hybrid cloud infrastructure, and guiding troubleshooting activities in real time.

Santosh Krishnan, general manager, Observability and Security at Elastic, Jackie Smith, global vice president, Platforms and ISV Partner Sales, at Splunk, and Olawale Oladehin, director of technology at AWS, also commented on the integration and its benefits.

Gigamon Insights combines a rich telemetry pipeline with a flexible LLM architecture, offering customers the choice of private hosted models or integration with existing enterprise AI systems. General availability of Gigamon Insights and launch partner integrations will be announced in the fourth quarter of 2025.
