Gaia Introduces AI Phone with On-Device Processing

SAN FRANCISCO, September 2, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Gaia has launched the Gaia AI Phone, a smartphone designed for complete AI sovereignty. Built on Galaxy S25 Edge hardware, the device processes AI entirely on-device, eliminating cloud dependency. The phone launches initially in Korea and Hong Kong.

Unlike traditional AI assistants, the Gaia AI Phone runs AI inference locally through Gaia’s AI Platform. Each phone operates as a full Gaia network node, contributing computational resources and earning token rewards.

According to Gaia CEO Matt Wright, the company has proven that AI can run entirely on a user’s device, transforming users into active infrastructure owners who earn rewards. The company plans to make more announcements in Q3 and Q4 2025 as decentralized AI emerges as a critical alternative to centralized control.

The Gaia AI Phone features partner integrations, including EdenLayer’s AI gaming platform, Roam’s global eSIM data package, and Umy’s crypto-native travel booking discounts. Phone owners also receive token airdrops from partner projects. Additional major partnerships will be announced in the coming weeks.

Gaia COO Shashank Sripada stated that fitting enterprise-grade AI into mobile hardware while maintaining full node functionality required breakthrough compression and optimization techniques.

The phone addresses concerns about AI centralization, distributing processing power and economic benefits among network participants. The initial release includes 1,000 units for early adopters.

The Gaia AI Phone is available for pre-order at mobile.gaianet.ai, with deliveries beginning in late 2025. Pricing starts at $1,399.
