November 21, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Former CIA counter-terrorism officer Buck Sexton says recent high-level White House meetings indicate a sweeping plan to reindustrialize the United States, potentially redefining American leadership for the next century. The strategy involves using advanced technology to restore self-reliant economic and military power reminiscent of the mid-20th century, Sexton said.
At the heart of this agenda is the concept of Artificial Superintelligence (ASI). Sexton said the administration aims for America to not just keep pace, but to dominate in ASI, a technology capable of self-design and improvement without human intervention. Sexton describes it as the new “engine of power,” warning that the nation controlling ASI will shape global economic, industrial, and military systems.
Sexton believes the White House’s urgency stems from concerns about China’s rapid technological advancements. Intelligence officials and industry leaders reportedly agree that the first country to achieve ASI will dictate the global order. Sexton says controlling ASI would shift the global balance of power and China intends to be first.
Sexton refers to this initiative as “Manhattan 2,” drawing a parallel to the secret wartime project that propelled America’s post-war dominance. However, this time, he explains, the goal is to establish a new economic foundation rather than build a weapon. He says these meetings focus on leveraging AI to rebuild America’s industrial base, reversing the decline of domestic manufacturing through AI-driven automation.
Sexton says the administration’s strategy involves bringing production back to the U.S. which would revive small-town economies, modernize infrastructure, and secure critical supply chains. Sexton believes this new AI race is America’s last chance to reclaim leadership.
Drawing parallels between the present and the post-World War II era, Sexton notes the U.S. transformed its military innovation into civilian prosperity. He thinks the same can happen again if the nation moves quickly and that it’s going to revive the American Dream.
Buck Sexton is a former CIA counter-terrorism officer and national security analyst. After government service, he became co-host of the nationally syndicated Clay & Buck Show. He continues to analyze the intersection of defense, intelligence, and technology shaping America’s future.
