The partnership will see Datadog and Sakana AI working together across research and engineering teams. The goal is to explore new approaches to building, deploying, and operating advanced AI systems at scale. The collaboration seeks to provide enterprises with greater visibility into the performance, reliability, and impact of AI-powered applications, while also accelerating the responsible adoption of AI technologies.
Bharat Sajnani, Head of Datadog Ventures, stated that AI systems are becoming essential to how modern enterprises build and operate software, but that they also bring new complexity. He added that the partnership with Sakana AI combines deep AI research expertise with Datadog’s platform for observability and security to help organizations better understand and operate these systems with confidence.
The companies plan to collaborate on joint research initiatives, including potential open-source contributions, product development, and go-to-market strategies. The collaboration will initially focus on supporting large enterprise customers in Japan, leveraging Datadog’s presence in the region, including its local data center. The companies intend to expand globally over time to meet enterprise requirements around performance and data residency.
