Coalesce.io Announces AI-Powered Data Pipeline Assistant

San Francisco, December 9, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Coalesce.io has announced the general availability of Coalesce Copilot, an AI-powered data pipeline assistant designed to help data teams build and govern data more efficiently.

Data engineers can now use natural language to build pipelines, thanks to Copilot’s agentic chat interface that understands workspace metadata. This allows teams to manage change with fewer resources, reduce rework, and accelerate data pipeline development while maintaining security and control.

Satish Jayanthi, co-founder and CTO of Coalesce, emphasized that Coalesce Copilot is designed to enhance the productivity of engineers, not replace them, and helps data teams keep up with the pace of change safely, while preserving data lineage, governance, and standards.

Coalesce Copilot addresses time- and resource-intensive challenges in data engineering, including migration initiatives and the maintenance of production-grade data infrastructure amid rapid business changes. The key benefits include:

  • Faster time to production through AI-assisted parsing of legacy SQL into standardized Coalesce nodes, reducing timelines from months to weeks.
  • Reduced rework and reengineering cycles with consistent build patterns.
  • Full visibility and governance, including trackable changes and lineage for auditable updates.

Coalesce Copilot is natively built within the Coalesce platform and operates with the RBAC, audit, and metadata governance. The system understands graph dependencies and automatically preserves relationships, reads schemas and lineage, and has governed execution with API-driven, RBAC-enforced, fully audit-logged actions.

Engineers can use natural language prompts to build data pipelines. For example, an engineer can prompt the system to “Create a staging layer for customers, join with orders, and calculate lifetime spend.” Copilot then analyzes workspace metadata and uses Coalesce APIs to create or update nodes while preserving dependencies.

Coalesce Copilot is generally available and can be enabled by administrators within existing Coalesce workspaces.
