CGI (TSX:GIB.A) Finalizes Acquisition of Comarch Polska SA for Poland Expansion

CGI (TSX: GIB.A) (NYSE: GIB) has finalized its acquisition of Comarch Polska SA through its Polish subsidiary, CGI Information Systems and Management Consultants (Polska) sp. z o.o. The move adds more than 460 IT and business consulting professionals to CGI, increasing its presence in Poland and the Baltic States to about 1,500 professionals. The acquisition will also allow CGI to expand into several major cities in Poland.

Niraj Sood, CGI President in Finland, Poland, and Baltics, said the acquisition aligns with CGI’s long-term business objectives, reinforcing its presence in Poland and the Baltic States by leveraging expertise in the public sector and transferring capabilities from its European operations.

Bartłomiej Nieścierowicz, Senior Vice-President and Business Unit Leader for CGI in Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, said there are significant opportunities for growth in the public sector by transferring best practices and solutions developed with clients across Europe and strengthening the capabilities of the team joining CGI. He added that combining Comarch’s local expertise with CGI’s technology-agnostic offerings expands the portfolio of solutions for public sector organizations in Poland, with a commitment to delivering 95% of projects on time and within budget.

Comarch has provided software and IT service solutions for the public administration sector since 1993, including ERP solutions, digital process and document management tools, and consulting and managed services.

Tomasz Matysik, CEO of Comarch Polska, believes that as part of CGI, Comarch will further expand its presence in the public sector by introducing globally developed, market-proven intellectual property solutions tailored to the Polish market.

Jarosław Mikos, President of the Management Board of Comarch S.A., said the transaction underscores the maturity and international competitiveness of Comarch’s solutions and the quality of its teams’ work.

CGI, founded in 1976, is an IT and business consulting services firm with 94,000 consultants and professionals worldwide. It provides services from IT and business consulting to systems integration, managed IT and business process services, and intellectual property solutions. CGI Fiscal 2025 reported revenue is CA$15.91 billion and CGI shares are listed on the TSX (GIB.A) and the NYSE (GIB).
