BARCELONA, Spain — November 28, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Last week, BYD Executive Vice President Stella Li attended the European market debut of the new Super Hybrid ATTO 2 DM-i. She stated that Europe is a strategically important market for BYD. Li noted the success of previous models and technologies in Europe, particularly in Italy, where the Dolphin Surf model launched in Milan.
Li described the ATTO 2 as a “game-changing product,” highlighting its ability to travel 90 km in fully electric mode and achieve a combined driving range of up to 1,000 km.
According to Li, the ATTO 2 is a “Super Hybrid car” due to its DM-i technology, which ensures lower consumption levels. She believes it will outperform all ICE (internal combustion engine) cars, hybrids, and even mild hybrids in fuel-saving efficiency.
Li expressed pride in the innovations accompanying the ATTO 2 launch, promising European consumers “the best driving experience in terms of technology and performance.” She also emphasized the new AI assistant features, which will allow drivers to interact with the car conversationally for tasks such as checking the weather or finding restaurants.
Li anticipates the ATTO 2 will be a success and expects BYD to be recognized as a technology company. The company aims to be among the top three brands considered by European consumers when purchasing a new car, regardless of whether they are looking for an electric car or an ICE vehicle. Li stated that the ATTO 2 DM-i is designed as a one-to-one replacement for ICE cars.
