The acquisition, which follows a previously announced agreement alongside BigBear.ai’s third quarter 2025 financial results, aims to strengthen BigBear.ai’s position as a provider of secure, production-ready AI.
Ask Sage currently supports over 100,000 users across 16,000 government teams and commercial organizations, offering generative AI within security and compliance frameworks.
BigBear.ai CEO Kevin McAleenan stated that the acquisition marks a milestone for BigBear.ai and accelerates their vision of delivering mission-ready AI. He noted Ask Sage’s operational scale in mission-critical environments and the companies’ combined aim to bring a secure, integrated AI platform to market that unifies data, software, and mission services.
The integration of Ask Sage will expand BigBear.ai’s AI portfolio to include secure generative AI workflows that complement its existing mission solutions and services. The combined platform will enable government and enterprise customers to incorporate AI while maintaining control over data sovereignty, model governance, and security requirements, according to the release.
