SANTA CLARA, Calif. — October 6, 2025 — Leads & Copy — AMD and OpenAI have announced a 6 gigawatt agreement to power OpenAI’s next-generation AI infrastructure using AMD Instinct GPUs. The initial deployment of 1 gigawatt of AMD Instinct MI450 GPUs is scheduled for the second half of 2026.
The partnership aims to combine AMD’s high-performance computing systems with OpenAI’s AI research to advance AI technology.
