STANFORD, Calif. — August 21, 2025 — Leads & Copy — AI Commerce Inc. has announced that the Second Annual Sushi Hackathon will take place on Friday, October 3, 2025, at Stanford University’s Alumni Center. The event received over 1,500 applications, and the top 60 participants, including university students and young engineers, were selected. This year’s theme, “Fishing DX: Optimize Catch, Identify, Savour with AI,” challenges participants to develop GenAI solutions that promote sustainable fishing without compromising revenue.
Participants are tasked with creating GenAI solutions to locate, classify, and prioritize premium fish, addressing questions like: Where can fish be caught? What kind of fish has been caught? Is the fish of high quality and great taste?
Following the success of the 2024 event, this year’s hackathon will feature a prize pool and partnerships with industry leaders. Participants will enjoy a sushi meal crafted by world-class chef Yuichi Arai. Keynote speakers will include Audrey Tang, Taiwan’s First Minister of Digital Affairs.
Anthony Leung, Executive Officer at AI Commerce, Inc., stated that the company is proud to work with up-and-coming coders to build GenAI solutions for responsible fishing and waste reduction. The Sushi Hackathon aims to create solutions that balance sustainable fishing and profitability, streamline operations through digital innovation, and enhance consumer trust through traceability.
