Accenture (NYSE:ACN) to Acquire Majority Stake in AI Data Center Firm DLB Associates

Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has entered into an agreement to acquire a 65% stake in DLB Associates, an AI data center engineering and consulting firm. The acquisition aims to bolster Accenture’s capabilities in assisting clients with AI enablement and accelerating their time to market.

DLB, founded in 1980, specializes in data center site selection, design engineering, and energy optimization. Approximately 620 DLB employees, including CEO David Quirk and chief innovation officer Neil Chauhan, will join Accenture’s Industry X practice.

Accenture’s chair and CEO, Julie Sweet, noted the acquisition will enable the company to provide end-to-end data center capabilities, addressing infrastructure constraints related to AI demand.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The deal is subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions.
