According to Edumentors Founder & CEO Tornike Asatiani, the new AI tutor will open doors for millions of students to access individual tutoring. Edumentors aims to make expert-level support accessible regardless of cost or location. The company says Edu AI will adapt to students’ needs, teach any subject, break down complex topics, and engage in human-like interactions.
The seed investment round was led by Magna Investments, an Abu Dhabi-based VC fund. The funding will be used to grow the platform’s human-to-human tutoring model while investing in R&D. Richard Hargreaves noted that Edumentors, since its launch in 2022, has the opportunity to become the next unicorn in education, given its growth rate and AI ambitions.
Edumentors’ online tutoring platform connects students with top-performing students from elite UK universities. Successful student-tutors have shown exceptional progress, with 98% of parents reporting significant improvement in their children’s academic performance.
Edumentors has already introduced AI tools to the market, including an exam marking tool, AI Avatar parent influencer, and AI Tutor Training module for tutors.
