Norma Achieves 73x Speedup in Quantum AI with NVIDIA CUDA-Q

SEOUL, South Korea — September 1, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Norma, a quantum computing firm, has validated its quantum AI algorithms on NVIDIA’s CUDA-Q, achieving up to 73x faster computational speeds in drug development. The company, led by CEO Hyunchul Jung, tested its algorithms on NVIDIA GH200 Grace Hopper Superchips, showcasing CUDA-Q’s ability to accelerate quantum algorithm development and execution.

Norma’s project, in collaboration with Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong, aims to discover novel drug candidates using quantum AI algorithms like QLSTM, QGAN, and QCBM. Results showed NVIDIA CUDA-Q significantly outperformed traditional CPU-based methods, reducing development costs and time.

According to the company, an 18-qubit quantum circuit’s forward propagation was approximately 60.14 to 73.32 times faster, while backward propagation was about 33.69 to 41.56 times faster. Comparisons between the H200 and GH200 yielded similar performance.

Jung stated this collaboration demonstrates the practical potential of quantum technologies. Norma plans to expand performance testing across various sectors, including healthcare, through cooperation with NVIDIA.
