August 22, 2025 — CGTN America & CCTV UN are launching “Explore the Future of Storytelling with AI,” an event examining AI’s role in shaping the future of film and visual storytelling. Artificial Intelligence is transforming various aspects of life, including the film industry, where it’s being used to expand creative boundaries.
The “Bright Future of Humanity” Global AI Visual Works Call-for-Submissions Launch Ceremony, presented by China Media Group and the New York Film Academy, will take place on Friday, August 22, 2025, at the Steven J. Ross Theater at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. The program will gather producers, directors, educators, and students. A global call for submissions will be announced, inviting young artists to create AI-powered works, addressing the question: “What kind of world do we want to build, and how can art, powered by AI, help us build it?”
This initiative is especially relevant as it marks 80 years since the end of World War II, encouraging reflection on its lessons and a call for peace. Artists can submit AI-generated videos, music, or paintings by September 1, 2025. Winning entries will be showcased at the “United as One World – Voices of Peace” concert at Lincoln Center, New York City, on September 23.
