The funding effort was spearheaded by Emergent Ventures and saw contributions from notable investors including Y Combinator, Neon Fund, First Cheque, and several early backers.
The company, which boasts backing from prominent figures in product and technology such as Tej Redkar (CPTO at SumoLogic), Karthik Ramamoorthy (SVP, Products and GM at Zuora), Aayush Phumbra (cofounder of Chegg), and Krishna Mehra (Director of Engineering at Meta), aims to redefine the B2B SaaS landscape.
Founded in 2022 by Himank Jain, Atharva Padhye, and Prabhat Singh, Crux is dedicated to empowering B2B SaaS teams with the ability to rapidly develop embedded AI copilots.
These advanced AI models are designed to interpret business data queries in straightforward language, drawing inspiration from OpenAI’s ChatGPT.
Crux’s unique offering promises to deliver a Copilot that is fully integrated with a business’s context, preferences, KPIs, and macro-trends, enabling users to transition from intent to action in mere seconds.
The company’s journey to its current platform iteration involved nearly 15 pivots, underscoring its commitment to innovation and adaptability in the fast-evolving AI sector.
