September 29, 2025 — Rueil-Malmaison (France), September 29, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Schneider Electric has unveiled its end-to-end liquid cooling solutions for data centers, designed for the AI Factories of the Future.
The Motivair by Schneider Electric cooling solutions address the power and GPU-intensive demands of high-density data centers. The portfolio includes data center physical infrastructure, such as CDUs, RDHx, HDUs, and dynamic cold plates, as well as software and services for managing next-generation high performance computing (HPC), AI, and accelerated computing workloads. The announcement provides a look at Schneider Electric’s liquid cooling capabilities since acquiring Motivair in February 2025.
Direct liquid cooling is more effective at removing heat than air, capturing heat at chip-level. Schneider Electric and Motivair offer a data center and liquid cooling portfolio, including core cooling infrastructure and a supply chain.
Richard Whitmore, CEO of Motivair by Schneider Electric, stated that the company has expertise at the silicon level through collaboration with NVIDIA and other GPU manufacturers. Motivair by Schneider Electric’s solutions include Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs), ChilledDoor® rear door heat exchangers, and Dynamic® Cold Plates.
The portfolio includes:
Coolant Distribution Units (CDUs): Designed with silicon manufacturers, scaling from 105 kilowatts to 2.5 megawatts. The CDU technology enables thermal performance for 6 of the world’s top 10 supercomputers and is certified for NVIDIA’s hardware.
ChilledDoor® Rear Door Heat Exchanger: Cools rack densities up to 75 kW.
Liquid-to-Air Heat Dissipation Unit (HDU™): Delivers 100 kilowatts of heat rejection in a footprint just 600 millimeters wide.
Chillers and Technology Cooling System (TCS) Loops: Air-cooled chillers save millions of gallons of water usage each year and deliver up to 20% more performance.
Software: Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure software tackles air and liquid cooling challenges.
Services: Motivair oversees the largest installed base of high-density liquid cooling solutions globally and is training more than 600 cooling field service technicians and EcoXpert cooling partners.
Schneider Electric’s portfolio is backed by global manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, technical expertise, and testing.
Andrew Bradner, Senior Vice President at Schneider Electric, said that combining expertise with Motivair charts a frontier for accelerated computing with a liquid cooling portfolio.
Olga Yashkova, Research Manager for IDC, said that the acquisition of Motivair by Schneider Electric strengthens its position in data center power, electrical, and cooling infrastructure and supporting services space.
